Alkaline phosphatase (AP/ALP/AKP/ALKP/ALPase/Alk Phos, EC 3.1.3.1) is a class of hydrolases that remove phosphate groups from substrates by hydrolyzing phosphate monoesters and generating phosphate ions and free hydroxyl groups. The substrates include proteins, nucleotides and alkaloids. This product is more effective under alkaline conditions. The Calf Intestinal Alkaline Phosphatase (CIAP/CIP) is widely used for labeling of secondary antibodies to detect proteins and nucleic acids in Western blot, ELISA, IHC, ICC, EMSA, Northern blot, and Southern blot, etc. This product is labeled with the CIAP that can catalyze the color development of chromogenic reagents such as BCIP/NBT or the production of chemiluminescence with appropriate chemiluminescent reagents.

AP-labeled Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) is a high-purity and high-specificity secondary antibody for Western, ELISA, IHC, etc.

This high-quality secondary antibody is obtained by immunizing goats with purified rabbit IgG, followed by affinity purification from antiserum and adsorption to human, mouse, and rat IgG. It has minimal cross-reactivity to human, mouse, and rat serum proteins.

The recommended dilution factor of this product for WB, ELISA and IHC are shown in the table above. However, the dilution factor can be optimized for different antigens and antibodies.

This product allows for 50 routine Western blots when 10 ml of this product diluted at 1:1000 is used for each blot.
