This JNK/SAPK antibody is a polyclonal antibody prepared by immunizing rabbit with human JNK2 protein as the antigen. It is purified in two steps with protein A and antigen peptide affinity columns.
This antibody recognizes total JNK/SAPK and can be used to analyze the expression level of endogenous JNK/SAPK. It does not recognize p44/42 MAPK and p38 MAPK.
This antibody is commonly used as a control in determining whether the phosphorylation level of JNK/SAPK is changed.
Jun N-terminal kinases (JNK), also known as stress-activated protein kinases (SAPK), is a MAPK that can be activated by stress signals including UV light, γ-rays, ceramides, inflammatory factors, etc. It can also be activated by some growth factors and GPCR agonists. Such signals can activate MEKK1/4, MLKs or ASK1, which in turn leads to phosphorylation and activation of SEK1/MKK4. Activated SEK1/MKK4 can phosphorylate Thr183 and Tyr185 of JNK/SAPK, thereby activating JNK/SAPK. The above amino acid residue positions correspond to human JNK/SAPK.
A Primary Antibody Dilution Buffer is provided for use in Western blotting to dilute primary antibodies.
The recommended dilution factors of this product in different applications are as follows. They can be adjusted appropriately according to the level of antigen in samples.
| WB | IP | IF |
| 1:1000 | 1:200 | 1:25 |
This product is sufficient for 20 routine Western blots.
| Item | Component | Quantity |
| AJ518-1 | JNK/SAPK Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody | 20µl |
| AJ518-2 | Primary Antibody Dilution Buffer for Western Blot | 20ml |
| Manual | – | 1 copy |
Store the Antibody at -20℃ and Primary Antibody Dilution Buffer for Western Blot at 4℃, stable for up to one year. The Primary Antibody Dilution for Western Blot is recommended to be stored at 4℃. Long-term storage at -20℃ may be considered, but repeated freeze-thaw may result in the appearance of slight turbidity and a small amount of insoluble substance.
For this antibody, it is recommended to perform overnight co-incubation with membrane at 4℃ for better outcomes.
This product can be recovered for multiple reuses (10 times at least) in Western blot (WB). Store diluted antibodies at 4℃.
The recovered antibodies can be reused in the same way as freshly diluted antibodies. If slight turbidity appears, centrifuge the antibody at 10,000×g for 1-3 minutes and use the supernatant for subsequent assays. But it should be discarded when there is significant flocculation or any microbial growth.
This product is for R&D only. Not for drug, household, or other uses.
For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during the operation.
